Part 1:
The roll cage in this car is a basic version of our 350z FD cage, with only the addition of the fully X’d main hoop due to lack of lateral support in the down bars (needed room for ducting). However, one of the most noticable elements to this car is the mid mounted firewall. This allows the Fuel Safe fuel cell to be mounted low and centered in the car to put the weight where you want it most. It also allows for plenty of room for the rear mounted Mishimoto radiator and the ducting needed to keep it cool.
Part 2:
You can see how the custom framed, aluminum structure holds the lexan in position to serve as a giant duct, pulling fresh air into the radiator. Pictured below is the open floor and exit ducting for the hot air. A critical part of rear radiator setups is getting the air out!
Part 3:
The Fuel Safe fuel cell, Aviad dry sump reservoir, swirl pot (not bolted in place in this picture) and coolant reservoir, all needed space to mount as well. Another reason the mid mount firewall is key.
Part 4:
A set of hard lines were fabricated, then boxed as per FD rules to get coolant from the radiator to the engine.
Part 5:
The tube front features our removable bumper support bracing sporting the Mitler Brothers triangle dimples, which follow the profile of the bumper. The Derale oil cooler is nestled in with its ow shroud to the the RB’s oil cool.
Part 6:
Wing mounting can always be tricky, especially when the trunk lid or hatch has open space between the 2 layers which crush when bolted in. We make spacer plates like the ones above in order to keep this from happening.
