Here is a great example of an older build that the customer has been collecting parts over time for and now is having it all installed. We installed the Fatman Fabrications front stub with rack and pinion power steering, wilwood 4 piston calipers and ultra light billet mustang II hubs, a dakota digital gauge cluster and Ididit column.
We use our custom built chassis table for all of the heavy chassis work. Built from T channel extruded aluminum, its light, movable, and has infinite fixturing positions. Here the car is being mounted to the table after the front end has been stripped off.
Once the table and car are leveled and all measurements taken, chop chop, cut cut.
Just like that, the new clip gets fixtured on the table and welded in place. All butted chassis joints get a proper fish plate tig welded in place for added strength
With all the parts back from powder coat and installed, the bare rails are starting to look proper.
With the fresh motor back from Wheeler, it was time to add some additional chassis bracing to help this 60 year old chassis handle the 530hp.
In order to take advantage of the Wilwood 4 piston calipers, a Wilwood master cylinder and 8" dual diaphram booster were added.
